Bio

The last of the Futures League's initial trio of Major League Baseball alumni honored as part of the 2020 Hall of Fame class, Civale helped the Worcester Bravehearts win the 2014 Futures League championship in their inaugural season and turning in a professional career that is still ongoing. Following his freshman year at Northeastern University, the East Windsor, Conn., native was 2-1 with a 1.52 ERA and 20 strikeouts in 23.2 innings for Worcester on the way to finishing his college career as the 2016 CAA Co-Pitcher of the Year and a Louisville Slugger All-American. Civale's junior year resulted in him becoming a third-round draft pick in 2016 by the Cleveland Indians, who recalled him for his MLB debut on June 22, 2019 and gave him 10 starts as a rookie. Following his Hall induction, he became the first Futures League product to pitch in a MLB Postseason game in 2022 and remained in Cleveland's organization until 2023.
