Will Briggs, Westfield Starfires & University of Massachusetts
Briggs got off to a red-hot start in Westfield, going 5-for-9 with a double, two home runs, six RBI and six runs scored through his first three games. He finished the opening stretch with a whopping 2.066 OPS, as he also walked three times and was hit by three pitches. The catcher made the most of his Futures League debut on Thursday, as he was 4-for-4 with both of his round-trippers and four RBI against Nashua.
